I am on my second copy of this and am unbelievably disappointed in the QC. I have never even had an issue before with any Blackened Label product from Metallica. All, including exclusive colored pressings, have been spectacular out of the sleeve. However, after multiple spin cleanings, brushings, etc. I cannot get past track 2 on Disc 1 without horrendous skipping. This is the same issue I had with my previous copy. Sadly, I guess its also going back to the retailer.

Awesome. Bought a copy for the extra songs and especially so I can keep my original copy from '97 pristine. Great levels. Over 2 hours. The bonus sounds like Breadfan and such are a bonus! Rock on.

Just grabbed this and it’s absolutely awesome.
The Garage Days Re-Revisted side sounds better than my transparent orange standalone copy.
Held off on buying this for years as it always has a hefty price tag, but pulled the trigger for Christmas this year and it was well worth The Wait.

I have to agree with the positive reviews here. Pretty damn good pressing. Solid and tight, especially given you could pick this 3 LP set up for $30-$40.

This pressing is flawless! Beautiful in every way. Must have been pressed by Furnace Record Pressing - the best!

The best Metallica record that I have heard as of now. No surface noise and the sound is just amazing, and with such a large amount of content its definitely worth the buy. However, I have to always clean mine before playing to avoid some minor skipping that can occur.

When it doesn’t skip on the first 2 tracks of each side of the record, it sounds amazing.

It’s not my TT or needle. This is the only album out of everything I bought on Black Friday to have an issue. Very disappointed.

1/16/2023 Update/Edit: since switching from a conical stylus to an elliptical stylus, this album now plays perfectly.

I don’t understand how that works, but it’s no longer skipping like crazy.

So am I the only one who has trouble with this record? I changed my turntable whole headshell and it keeps skipping. I read some other people on reddit having the same issue.

Yes indeed, this is a stellar pressing. Dead silent between tracks, zero surface noise, insanely dynamic, punchy as all hell, killer imaging...hard to complain on this one.
